Could skilled migration solve your business’ skills shortage?

Annually, the South Australian Government nominates approximately 2,400 skilled migrants for a state-nominated visa, with the visa ultimately granted by the Federal Government. The Department of State Development is seeking industry feedback regarding known skill shortages or surpluses to develop the State-Nominated Occupation List for 2018-19.
Business SA is preparing a submission to provide industry feedback, and we need your input. We are here to represent members and the wider South Australian business community. We want to know what interests and concerns your business is facing, particularly when it comes to skill shortages.
We would appreciate it if you could take the time to fill in our short survey to inform us about the skill shortages affecting your business. If you engage or employ skilled migrants we are also seeking your input. Occupations currently open for 2017-18 state nomination are not guaranteed to be on the 2018-19 list; given continued skill demand must be demonstrated. All responses will help us advocate more effectively on your behalf to influence the State-Nominated Occupation List.
