The South Australian Business Chamber, South Australia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Government of South Australia, has announced the finalists for the South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards 2023.
Andrew Kay, the Chamber’s CEO said he was impressed by both the calibre and number of nominations received this year.
“We were pleasantly surprised to receive an overwhelming response to the awards in their first year.
“South Australia is clearly home to a growing number of innovative and high-achieving businesses, of which we can be very proud. They deserve to be recognised and celebrated,” said Mr Kay.
More than 250 businesses entered this year’s awards, submitting 600 nominations across 24 categories.
“It was a challenge for the judges to select the finalists, given the exceptional depth of quality nominations across all categories,” said Mr Kay.
The awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution local businesses make to the social, environmental, and economic well-being of our community, recognising businesses across a diverse number of categories including ‘Emerging Business of the Year’ and ‘Indigenous Business of the Year’.
All of today’s finalists are automatically considered for two prestigious major awards: South Australian Business of the Year and South Australian Exporter of the Year.
Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner for more than 1000 guests at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 22 September 2023.
“We are considering this South Australia’s Business Night of Nights,” said Mr Kay.
“It’s going to be an evening of glamour, entertainment, and recognition, while indulging in the finest South Australian food and wine.
“We want this to be a celebration of business in this state on a scale not seen for many years,” said Mr Kay.
