I have a very broad range of experience – gained in a career spanning almost 60 years. From initial roles in IT operations; at the age of 19 I was managing a team which was part of the implementation of a new computer system. Subsequently I held a number of senior positions with major IT suppliers such as ICL, Fujitsu, Digital and Unisys. These included. project management, marketing, sales, training and business centre/finance management. I have started two businesses in South Australia. Both were developed from a zero base. My involvement with the first was brief, but the business grew rapidly and continued on to thrive. The second was The Tennyson Group – a people-based services business which included recruitment and provision of contractors in the information technology field. Over 16 years the company grew to have almost 200 staff and a turnover of $14 million. Since selling the business and “retiring”, I have been - Board Chair and CEO of a charity for 2 years – helping families with members on the Autism spectrum - A part time Sales & Marketing Director for an IT Consultancy - Mentor for several small businesses – including in the construction and Allied Health industries I am a great believer in the benefits of learning – continuous learning from any and all sources. I enjoy being part of the learning experience for anyone who is committed to their personal and business development.
