In Binh’s world there are no failures, there are only lessons.

Atychiphobia is the intense fear of failure – this phobia may cause people to avoid scenarios that have the potential for unsuccessful outcomes. For Binh Nguyen, these scenarios do not exist, in his world, there are only opportunities to learn lessons.

Binh Nguyen is the Founder and CEO of Market Ease Digital, and he recently joined Tim Lavis on the ThirtyNiners podcast to explain his philosophy on trying new things without the fear of failure.

I am not afraid of trying new things knowing that it could fail. I am completely comfortable with something that we might introduce (at Market Ease Digital) that will fail, as long as we have more wins than failures, actually you know what, I wouldn’t even call them failures, I would call them lessons”.

These lessons are imperative to Market Ease Digital’s success as a leading provider of digital advertising services to businesses located across Australia and around the world.

Market Ease Digital are renowned for being trailblazers in the digital advertising space, and Binh accredits this to his team’s willingness to continue to learn by providing each other with feedback in order to optimise their processes and deliver the highest quality service to their customers.

I’m the kind of person that says okay we’ve got this idea. Let’s try it, get the feedback, make sure that you have a system in place to get feedback, and then learn from that feedback. It could be positive feedback, it could be negative constructive feedback. But it doesn’t matter, you get the feedback, and you adjust”.

A lot of the things we do really well is because we keep adjusting and optimising over time, nothing at Market Ease Digital happens overnight, it’s a process, everything is a process”.

The admirable ability to never blink while facing failure for the opportunity to learn something new, is exactly what drew Binh to the ThirtyNiners.

Much like Binh’s team at Market Ease Digital, the ThirtyNiners cohort also includes a group of individuals searching for new opportunities to learn in a collaborative and supportive environment – where process optimisation is always top of the agenda.

When it comes to sharing ideas, there’s a lot of collaboration in the ThirtyNiners, and I love collaboration. I think we had a chat before this podcast and I told you, that one of the lines that really sticks with me is — if you want to go fast, go alone, and if you want to go far, go together”.
