After 27 years of devoted service, Sandy Ellis, the South Australian Business Chamber’s longest-serving current team member, bids farewell as she embarks on a new chapter in her life.

Sandy’s retirement follows the retirement of long-term employee Rob Pearce after 26 years in December 2022.

Joining the Chamber’s training team on August 26, 1996, we doubt Sandy could have foreseen the remarkable journey that awaited her.

Over the years, she held a total of 8 different positions within the organisation, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the Chamber.

Throughout her tenure, Sandy has exemplified professionalism and nurtured strong relationships with colleagues and members.

Under the leadership of 5 CEOs, she consistently demonstrated her adaptability, earning the respect and admiration of all who had the pleasure of working with her.

Her latest manager, Maggie Li, reminisces about their first meeting during her interview, a moment that would evolve into a decade-long mentorship.

Maggie shares, Meeting Sandy during my interview was memorable, and managing my mentor has been an honour beyond words.”

As Sandy bids farewell to the South Australian Business Chamber, she leaves behind a legacy defined by her unwavering dedication and accomplishments.

While her departure marks the end of an era, it also signals the beginning of an exciting new journey as she sets her sights on a long-awaited trip to Europe.

The South Australian Business Chamber extends its sincere gratitude to Sandy Ellis for her decades of service and wishes her happiness and fulfilment in retirement.
