The Road Transport and Distribution Award 2020 applies to employers in the road transport and distribution industry and their employees to the exclusion of any other Modern Award.
The “road transport and distribution industry” involves the transport by road of goods, the receiving, handling or sorting of goods, the wholesale transport and delivery by road of meat, mobile food vending, the cartage and/or distribution, in tankers of petrol or bulk petroleum products, the road transport of crude oil or gas condensate in bulk and the cartage by road of quarried materials.
The Mining Industry Award 2020, Road Transport (Long Distance Operations) Award 2020, Transport (Cash in Transit) Award 2020 and Waste Management Award 2020 as listed in Clause 4.2 exclude employers and employees who would be covered by these awards from coverage in the Road Transport and Distribution Award 2020.
